CHALLENGE
The company is one of the leading IT consulting companies in Germany with more than 1,900 employees. They are focused on IT consulting services in the energy, telecommunications, public sector, industry and services sectors.
The challenge was to ensure authentication across several systems and applications, to keep the exchange of tokens and keys secure, and to identify which oAuth2 Flow should be used for which use case.
SOLUTION
To meet the high-security requirements of the client, we as the partner suggested a secure implementation of AWS API Gateway and AWS Cognito with Oauth 2.0 Authentication for partners and customers. The idea was to integrate the API Gateway with oAuth2 Flow, mutual authentication.
CLOUD TECHNOLOGIES
This projects only used native AWS services like API Gateway and Cognito where the cryptographic key managemend is done transparently by AWS directly.
